FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:Can I use a different sausage? Yes, this recipe will work with any other smoked sausage that you enjoy. It does not have to be Kielbasa. What else can I use in place of tortellini? I will say that tortellini holds up best in this recipe. But cappelletti or ravioli would probably be other good alternatives. Just be careful when stirring so they dont break open. Can I double this recipe? Sure, just make sure youre using a skillet big enough to hold everything. Isnt this technically two pans, not one? I call this a one pan meal but technically it is two if you are using frozen tortellini. Frozen tortellini will need to be boiled first. If you are using the fresh stuff in the refrigerated section, you wont need to do that here. You can pop it in the skillet when you add the chicken broth then cover it and cook for a few minutes until warmed through. But I hate peppers, what do I do? Just omit the peppers if you hate them. However, you could make a side green salad or serve with some more steamable vegetables. Some Garlic Breadsticks or Garlic Bread would be a nice addition.
