These Easy Fresh Peach Dumplings are one of my favorite ones of all. I used my Easy Apple Dumplings as inspiration. It may seem like an odd combination but I promise it works! If you are wanting a deliciously peachy dessert, then you have to try this Easy Fresh Peach Dumpling Recipe!Absolutely delicious! Made it exactly per your recipe for a church gathering. I really wish I would have made more than two pans! They were the first thing gone ha! HelenFREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:Should you peel the peaches for peach dumplings? You can use peeled peaches or unpeeled peaches, that is a personal preference. They soften as they bake. To peel peaches properly, add the peaches to boiling water for about 10-20 seconds to loosen the skin then place in an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Once cooled, use a pairing knife and gently peel away the skin, which should come off easily. What does the soda do? It adds sweetness to the overall dish but also thickens as it cooks down to help make a delicious sauce. You can use any lemon-lime soda you like (Sprite, 7-Up or even Mountain Dew). What do you serve with dumplings? We like to serve these with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped topping. Can I just used canned peaches? Yes you can. Look for the can that shows larger peach slices. This recipe can also be doubled and baked in a 913-inch baking pan. How do you store leftover peach dumplings? Leftovers should be stored in a lidded container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven. Its best to use the rolls instead of the crescent sheet but that will work too. Youll just have to do some cutting. salted butter this doesnt make it salty it just helps to cut the overall sweetness a little bit. sugar I have not tried this with a substitute but I would think it would work. ground cinnamon if you arent a fan of cinnamon, just leave it out. It really goes so well with the peaches though. flour this is going to help thicken the sauce mixture. lemon lime soda it can be any of your favorite lemon lime sodas (Mountain Dew also works great with this!)HOW TO MAKE EASY PEACH DUMPLINGS:Preheat oven to 350F degrees.Spray an 8-inch square pan with nonstick spray.Cut peaches into 8 slices total. (Note: its optional if you want to peel the peaches or not, they soften as they bake see notes.) Unroll tube of crescent rolls and separate into 8 pieces.On each roll, sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon.Add one peach slice to the larger end of the crescent roll. Roll it up into a little bundle. Continue with the rest of the rolls the same way.
