I mean this dinner is full of flavor and super easy for those busy weeknights when you just want a filling meal that comes together quickly in just one skillet, with minimal cleanup. Just fill the bellies with this tasty meal and enjoy the little clean up to do afterwards.FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:Help! My potatoes are burning, what do I do? Just remove them. Scoop them out and set them aside on a plate. No worries! Let your steak finish cooking to your desired doneness, then add the potatoes back in to warm them back up for a minute. Sometimes the skillet can get hotter than you wanted and the potatoes can burn if sitting too long so if you are at all worried about that, just remove them while cooking the steak. I havent tried adding potatoes to that recipe but I think it could easily be adapted to work. Can I make this with chicken instead? Yes, in fact, Ive made two different versions of it already. I have a Garlic Butter Chicken Bites and Potatoes and some Garlic Butter Chicken Bites (without potatoes) that you may enjoy. Can I make this in the Air Fryer instead? I havent personally tested this (with the potatoes) in the Air Fryer, yet. I have a recipe for Air Fryer Garlic Butter Steak Bites. I would suspect youd have to cook the potatoes first since they need longer cook time and then cook the steak closer to the potatoes being done. Youd really have to experiment with that one yourself. I think it could be done I just couldnt give you cooking times since I havent personally done it yet. How do I get that perfect sear on the steak? Make sure your cast iron pan is fully heated before adding oil for that perfect sear. What do I do if my steak isnt getting seared? If the pan is too crowded, the steak bites will steam rather than sear. Cook in batches if necessary. Remove the potatoes if they are fully cooked and add them back in after the steak is cooked. How do I know when my Steak Bites are done? Use tongs to turn the steak and ensure the cubes are seared evenly. Use a meat thermometer to check your Steak Bites. 135F degrees will give you Medium Garlic Butter Steak Bites. How long will leftovers keep? Any leftovers should be placed in an airtight container and kept in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (SEE RECIPE CARD BELOW FOR THE FULL RECIPE)sirloin steak cut into bite-sized cubes. You can swap sirloin out for other steak options like top sirloin, flank, filet, Tri-tip, NY strip, or flat iron. Pretty much any steak you enjoy eating would work here. Yukon Gold potatoes you could use russet potatoes but I think the Yukon Gold potatoes tend to hold up a bit better. If using russet, I would remove them while the steak cooks so they dont break down and become mushy.olive oil you could use any oil that you prefer that has a higher smoke point. garlic and herb butter sticks I used Kerrygold Garlic and Herb Butter sticks but I know not everyone can find that, or afford it as it can be pricey. Instead, I have a Garlic Herb Butter recipe you can use so you can make it homemade instead. Or for a super simple version, you can just take a stick of softened butter (soften the butter quickly with these tips) and add a teaspoon of frehsly minced garlic and some dried parsley and then mix it all together well. Store any unused butter wrapped in plastic wrap in the fridge. Or just buy another brand that you enjoy!salt, pepper, garlic powder You can use blends like Montreal steak seasoning, Cajun seasoning, Trader Joes 21 Seasoning Salute, blackened seasoning, or BBQ rubs.
