The company posted Group revenue of KES 414 billion and net income of KES 100 billion.The growth was driven by rising customer numbers, increased use of digital services, and expansion in both Kenya and Ethiopia.The telco also announced a dividend payout of KES 80.1 billion, equivalent to KES 2 per share. Earnings Before Interest and Tax (EBIT) increased by 15.3 per cent to KES 182.3 billion.The Groups customer base rose to 71.6 million subscribers. The growth reflects continued demand for digital connectivity and financial services.Safaricom Chairman Adil Khawaja said the company had maintained strong growth while continuing to invest in Ethiopia.These results reflect a business that continues to demonstrate resilience and momentum, he said.Ethiopia and M-PESA Drive MomentumSafaricom Ethiopia continued to gain traction during the year. The business contributed 12.5 per cent to Group service revenue growth.Subscriber numbers in Ethiopia rose to 13.6 million customers. The network now covers 60 per cent of the population through 3,504 sites.M-PESA also maintained strong growth in Kenya. The platform now has 41 million active customers.During the financial year under review, M-PESA generated KES 182.7 billion in revenue.Safaricom said it continued investing in programmes aimed at transforming lives across Kenya and Ethiopia.Through the Safaricom and M-PESA Foundations, more than 4.4 million lives were impacted during FY26. The programmes focused on education, health, and economic empowerment.Focus on Long-Term GrowthSafaricom Group Chief Finance Officer Dilip Pal said the company continues to strengthen its network and IT infrastructure.We continue to invest in our network and IT systems to support capacity upgrades and user experience, said Pal.He noted that Ethiopias reduced losses had significantly boosted Group performance.Safaricom now enters the second year of its Vision 2030 strategy.
