There are some major standouts in this month's Humble Choice lineup, the first of which I'll highlight is WWE 2K25. This wrestling sim was only released in March of this year, so grabbing it as part of Humble Choice is an incredible deal.

This year's game expands on core gameplay elements like chain wrestling, while also addressing major fan demands like an online version of MyGM. WWE 2K25 also runs smoothly on the Steam Deck, with the only reason for it not being Verified being that the text may be difficult to read at times on the Steam Deck's relatively small screen.

Speaking of somewhat recent releases, next up is The Plucky Squire, which was released in September 2024. This light-hearted indie game uses both 2D and 3D gameplay sequences to create a very cool gameplay loop.

As characters from a storybook discovering the 3D world for the first time, The Plucky Squire has gameplay that moves between the 2D pages of the book to the 3D world around it. It brings together platforming and combat elements alongside a charming action-adventure story to create something that truly feels unique. A rarity in the modern games industry.

The next game that caught our eye is Return to Monkey Island, which marked the return of Rod Gilbert to the iconic point-and-click series. Picking up where Monkey Island 2 left off, this new entry still has the same witty charm, engaging story, and challenging puzzles to keep you hooked throughout.

Finally, I'll acknowledge that while it's unfortunate to have a game that's outright Unsupported on the Steam Deck as part of this month's lineup, the Destiny 2 Legacy Collection is fantastic value. It includes seven total content packs for Destiny 2, including three full expansions. This is still great for anyone playing on PC or a Windows-based gaming handheld, but for Steam Deck owners, Destiny 2 won't work due to an incompatible anti-cheat.
