Apple Wallet's Car Keys feature expands to 13 new auto brands

Apple Wallet's Car Key feature is expanding to include 13 new vehicle brands.

The car key feature enables people to access their cars using the Apple Wallet on their iPhone or Apple Watch. Car keys can unlock compatible vehicles at a distance or nearby, depending on the manufacturer.

The feature has already worked for models created by companies such as Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Kia, Lotus, Hyundai, BYD, Audi, and BMW.

Now, a slew of new auto manufacturers are joining the existing list, bringing the total number of supported brands to 33. The latest additions are:

  • Acura

  • Cadillac

  • Chery

  • Chevrolet

  • GMC

  • Hongqi

  • Lucid

  • Porsche

  • Rivian

  • Smart

  • Tata

As of now, there is no timeline for when these companies will implement the Car Key feature. Apple has announced other updates to its vehicle-related products during WWDC 2025, including a new design for CarPlay and the introduction of the enhanced CarPlay Ultra.
