Stardew Valley rival Mirthwood co-op update allows you to marry your player two

One of my favorite summer activities is to find new games that I can play with friends, and our flavor of the moment is very much farming sims. Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, even Palia, we've done them all - which is why the much-anticipated co-op update for the enchanting Mirthwood is just so exciting.

Stardew Valley meets Fable in this RPG life sim, where you manage your own homestead, trying to build a peaceful life after fleeing a war-torn continent.  You can choose a life of farming and trade, or decide to forge an adventurer's path by picking up a sword and embarking on epic quests across the Freelands.

If that sounds like your cup of tea, then you'll be delighted to know that you can now do all of the above with a friend in Mirthwood.  Whether it's maintaining a bountiful harvest, battling nefarious brigands, or settling down with a family, all of it is available to do together with local co-op and Steam Remote Play support. And yes, for the hopeless romantic, that even includes wooing and marrying your player two.

There's no need to be worried about losing progression or having to argue over inventory space.  You'll both retain your individual inventories, skills, and gear, so if you're a hoarder like me you won't need to be told to get rid of the hundreds of seeds you've been keeping for a rainy day.

If that wasn't enough to enjoy, the update also brings with it a whole load of extra content, minor improvements, and brand-new combat enhancements, including new attack direction and enemy lock-on indicators, and a 'downed' state that lets players rescue each other during combat, in case battling those werewolves goes catastrophically wrong.
