EA Sports FC 26 release date estimate

What is the FC 26 release date? You can bet your bottom dollar that come September, you'll be digging into a new entry in the EA Sports FC series. More of an iteration than a revolution, the FC games are still a vital purchase for those knee-deep in soccer, with new transfers, kits, and a highlight feature or two to enhance the experience.

Last year had a focus on opponent AI and added the ability to flex your tactical nous with a new FC IQ system. This allowed players to emulate their favorite real-world managers in the soccer game, or put their unique stamp on proceedings. It's unclear what the marquee features will be with FC 26, but it's likely EA is cooking something to justify players upgrading to the latest entry.

While we don't have a solid date yet, the FC 26 release date will likely arrive on Friday, 26 September, based on the dates of previous entries in the series. Similarly, we expect FC 26 to launch on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

There are also usually several days of early access for those who opt for the Ultimate Edition of the game, and we expect this year to be no different. Fut Sheriff on X reports that those who purchase the Ultimate Edition will get access to FC 26 on 19 September, although this has not been officially confirmed.

According to ASY FUT on X, those who pre-order FC 26 can claim several bonuses, including FC Points, exclusive EVOs, and an untradable Icon. Bear in mind, these are just rumors, but it would be an enticing prospect if true.

FC 26 rumors

We have seen some rumors swirling around social media about the changes coming to FC 26 - they mainly concern the structure and reward system of FUT Champs, and, more excitingly, the inclusion of the Brazilian league.

Brazil has gifted us with some of the most talented and exciting players over the years, and while these players usually find their way overseas, the Brazilian league itself boasts some of the most die-hard fans on the planet and a level of football that some often overlook. With teams like Flamengo, Corinthians, São Paulo, Palmeiras, and Santos, there's an array of quality players, and we would welcome the league's inclusion wholeheartedly.

There will also likely be an assortment of new Icons and Heroes for us to add to our squads, but these have not been confirmed yet. Let us know in the official PCGN Discord who you would want to see in FC 26.
