New Ravenswatch roadmap makes plans into 2027 despite publisher's financial struggles

More Ravenswatch DLC and new free updates are in the works, and I couldn't be happier. The Passtech Games roguelike ARPG has become one of my favorite co-op games over the past couple of years. It blends the isometric action of Diablo with an open-world race against the clock that feels a lot like Elden Ring Nightreign, and a cast of familiar faces from fantasy and fairytales. With publisher Nacon's recent filing for insolvency, I was worried what the future of Ravenswatch might look like, but the latest news is good.

Passtech says that both it and Nacon "are incredibly proud to have completed one full year of post-launch support for Ravenswatch" (counting from the Nightmares Unleashed update, its first after the 1.0 launch). Asking if this is "The End," the developer then answers with, "Let's continue with another round of updates and DLC in 2026 and 2027."

The new Ravenswatch roadmap starts with the 'Songs of Thieves' update in the spring (more on that in a second). It then promises two new paid-for heroes, with the free 'Cauldron and Potions' update introducing "new game modes" between the pair. "We still have a few ideas in the bag for more content and new heroes," Passtech teases. "Can you guess who may join the Ravenswatch?"

The Song of Thieves update will arrive in the Spring, introducing the eponymous group as a new enemy faction. "What could the Thieves be hiding in their treasure rooms and deadly traps? Maybe completing the various melodies will make you stronger, but watch out for shard theft."

Exactly what these melodies entail remains to be seen, but Passtech promises they'll have a "powerful effect." The free update will also introduce new room types, including a magic mirror, an encounter with Halloween legend Stingy Jack, and the much-requested ability to pause the game in multiplayer sessions.

As for Nacon, the studio recently addressed its financial situation as "a difficult moment," but has stated that "this is not the end." It adds that "our announced releases remain on track, and we still have many projects in development. We're confident we'll get through this."

Ravenswatch is 50% off until Wednesday March 11, so you'll pay just $12.49 / £10.49. If you want to catch up on everything that's already been added so far, the team has bundled all of its DLC to date into a single pack priced at 47% off, including the cosmetic skin packs, digital artbook and soundtrack, and its newest playable character Merlin.
