Save this cheesy chicken dip recipe for the next time you're hosting a party. The combination of diced green chiles, cheddar, and shredded chicken gets even more delicious with a creamy sour cream sauce. Once baked, serve the dip warm with chips, crackers, or fresh veggies. 6 cups shredded cooked chicken

12 oz. shredded cheddar cheese, divided

8 oz. cream cheese, softened

1 cup sour cream

1 cup mayonnaise

7 to 8 oz. canned diced green chiles, drained

1 tsp. garlic salt

1/2 tsp. black pepper

Sliced green onions and/or chopped cilantro, for garnish

Tortilla chips, butter round crackers, corn chips, and/or veggie sticks, for serving

Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly coat a 13x9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large bowl stir together shredded chicken, 8 ounces cheddar cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, green chiles, garlic salt, and pepper until well combined. Transfer mixture to prepared baking dish. Top with remaining 4 ounces shredded cheddar.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted. Garnish with green onions and chopped cilantro. Serve with desired chips, crackers, and/or veggies.
How to Make Disappearing Chicken in the Slow Cooker
Follow recipe as written placing mixture in a 6-qt. slow cooker. Cook on high for 1 1/2 hours or on low for 3 hours.
