Get a serious audio upgrade for just $35 with this fantastic Razer microphone deal
Be under no illusion, while gaming headsets are fantastically convenient, if you want a serious microphone that will bring clarity and smoothness to your game chats, streaming sessions, or recordings, a proper dedicated microphone is your best bet, and with this Razer microphone deal, you don't have to spend a lot to get that upgrade.
Coming in at just $35.99, you can grab Razer's entry-level gaming microphone with a massive 40% discount, getting you a super-compact yet great-sounding audio upgrade for a ludicrously low price. Although it was recently superseded by the Logitech G Yeti GX as the top choice of small microphone on our best gaming microphone guide, with this discount, it would easily once again be our top recommendation if it were a permanent price drop.
The microphone in question is the Razer Seiren V3 Mini, which, as its name suggests, is a very small microphone when compared to many desktop gaming mics. This does mean it sits really low on your desk when using its included stand, but if you grab a microphone arm to go with it, it makes for a really compact setup.
What's more, despite its size, this mic is very capable. It can deliver a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz with a maximum bit rate of 24-bit and up to a 96kHz sampling rate, all while having a sensitivity of -36 dB (1 V / Pa at 1 kHz) and SPL rating of 110dB. In other words, it can pick up the full range of human hearing and is very sensitive.
Crucially, in my tests, I've found this mic to be much more consistently clean and clear, with a much fuller sound than the vast majority of gaming headsets that tend to sound thin and shrill in comparison. Step up to an even larger and more premium dedicated mic, and you'll unlock an even higher-fidelity sound, but for normal gaming and entry-level recording, this mic gets the job done and is a huge step up over most gaming headsets.
Razer also claims the mic incorporates a shock mount to guard against noise from you knocking your desk. In my experience, it isn't a patch on a dedicated shock mount, but this is still a mic that's decent at taking the edge off smaller knocks, and its integrated wind shield reduces the noise of your breath on the mic too.
With a convenient USB connection, this mic is easy to set up, while a useful tap-to-mute button on its top means you don't need to rely on a keyboard bind for Discord or route around trying to find the mute button in your game or meeting software.
Normally priced at $59.99, today's discount sees the Razer Seiren V3 Mini drop to just $35.99, making it the cheapest this mic has ever been on Amazon. Just follow this link to grab this limited-time deal while it's still on.
