The Farmers’ Almanac determines its own unique long-range weather predictions via an “astronomical formula,” the likes of which have been kept a secret for 208 years. Not many details were revealed in the publication's farewell letter posted on Nov. 6, 2025, but the Farmers' Almanac team revealed financial difficulties were behind the decision to cease operations in an exclusive with TODAY.

Though the Almanac will no longer be available in print or online, it lives on within you.”
