When you think of Far Cry, you don't necessarily think multiplayer. You might think bombastic set pieces or awe-inspiring global adventures. That's not to say the series hasn't flirted with it before - Far Cry 5 and 6 both had online co-op campaigns, and some games even had PvP modes, although I don't know anyone who played them and this was scrapped for the latest entry.
