One-eyed Kitten Meets a Cat Who Never Met a Stranger, They Hit It Off in the Sweetest Way
A one-eyed kitten met a cat who had never met a stranger, and the two hit it off in the sweetest way. Tippy and GooseTinyPawsFostersA tiny black-and-white kitten was brought to a county shelter in desperate need of help. Barely tipping the scale at one pound, he was uninterested in food and battling a cold. When Nadija, a foster volunteer with AnimalLuvr's Dream Rescue, saw the shelter's urgent plea, she couldn't turn away. Though already juggling several fosters, she made space for one more.Upon arrival, the kitten was cold to the touch. Tucked into warm blankets, he dozed off, getting some much-needed rest. GooseTinyPawsFostersThe little fighter, named Goose, faced an uphill battle. For days, he struggled to regulate his body temperature and had difficulty eating. "I was pulling out all the stops, hoping he'd improve. As suspected, he was severely anemic (his paw pads and gums were pale)," Nadija shared."This wasn't something I could fix at home, especially since he wasn't eating." TinyPawsFostersAt the vet's, Goose received a life-saving blood transfusion that lasted over seven hours. With round-the-clock care and tube feeding, he slowly regained enough strength to drink from a bottle. He would have a good day, then a bad day, then bounce back again. Just as he began stabilizing, his left eye started to worsen. TinyPawsFostersEven as Goose rediscovered his purr and began gaining weight, the infection in his eye continued to progress despite every effort to save it.Still, he remained cheerful and unfazed, refusing to let anything dampen his spirit. His appetite grew, his energy soared, and his playful, mischievous personality started to shine. TinyPawsFostersWith each passing day, the chances of saving his eye grew slimmer. Eventually, Goose underwent surgery to remove it. True to form, he sprang back like a little warrior and quickly regained his health. With a renewed zest for life, Goose explored every corner, scaled the cat tree, and kept his foster mom entertained with his endless antics. It was clear he needed a playmate. TippyTinyPawsFostersThat's when Tippy, a fluffy gray-and-white kitten, came along. She'd arrived at a local ER clinic and needed a safe place to land. Around the same age as Goose and also in need of a companion, she was the perfect match."This fluffy girl came to me so Goose could have the friend he so desperately needed. She's a complete dreamsoft, sweet, playful, sassy, and chatty." TinyPawsFostersThe moment Goose and Tippy met, it was as though they'd known each other forever. Goose trailed after Tippy, always reaching out a paw to stay connected. They became inseparable. Where one went, the other followed."Together, they're double the love, double the fun, and double the purrs." They became instant friends, and Goose was smitten with TippyTinyPawsFosters"Goose is a little one-eyed miracle who's overcome so much. From a blood transfusion to losing an eye, he's proven he's one tough cookie. Now, he's healthy, happy, and the snuggliest boy you'll ever meet.""Tippy is his fearless bestie who's never met a stranger. She's outgoing, playful, and the perfect little coach, helping Goose feel brave when he's unsure." TinyPawsFostersNow, the two buddies spend their days chasing and wrestling each other before curling up to recharge. Goose loves to grab hold of Tippy's fluffy tail and keep it "hostage" while they both drift off to sleep, side by side. Best of friendsTinyPawsFostersShare this story with your friends.
