Escape From Tarkov was first made available all the way back in 2017. Since then, it's become perhaps the most recognizable example of the extraction shooter, a high tension style of FPS that also includes games like Hunt: Showdown, Delta Force and Marauders. Tarkov has also been a public work in progress for nearly a decade now, which means you can explore a large part of the game while it's still being made, even if your enjoyment has always been somewhat hampered by the knowledge that its creator, Battlestate, doesn't consider the project 'finished' yet.
