Like many who grew up in the 2D-dominant age of gaming, I have a die-hard fondness for platformers baked into my very soul. Of course, I love the big-name stuff like Super Mario World, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Donkey Kong Country, but both then and now, a genre isnt exclusively represented by a single franchise.
