Its been far too long since I played a good campaign mode in a military FPS. Battlefield 3 and the original, 2007 Modern Warfare remain the exemplars. If you want to go further back, and were okay with including WW2 shooters, then Medal of Honor Allied Assault has to feature, and also the first MoH game from 1999.
