A new Stalker 2 roadmap lays out plenty of changes coming to GSC Game Worlds apocalyptic FPS this year, including an engine change that should help to solve some of its bigger performance and stability woes. The open-world series made its long-awaited return in 2024, landing to a strong critical and public reception, but its impressive simulation has been marred by bugs and glitches. The team has a lot of upgrades on the table for the remainder of 2025, however, ranging from new tools, missions, and anomalies to some very welcome quality-of-life tweaks and a new master difficulty.
