At the end of 2022, one-man-developer-studio Matthias Linda released Chained Echoes, a nostalgia-fueled JRPG-inspired game that hit all the marks of what it intended to do. I played it back at launch, got the platinum trophy, and had a blast with it, despite some minor gripes with the narrative and that divisive ending.
