For the last few years, Battlefield has been in the FPS game wilderness. BF1 and Battlefield V continue to pull in players, but 2042 has been a mixed success, and the direction of the series has felt unclear. Personally, I miss the heyday of Bad Company and Battlefield 3, the two best games in EA Dices entire shooter saga. But maybe Battlefield 6 can reset the narrative, as they say. Certainly, Dice needs to bring its A game - with Delta Force, Gray Zone Warfare, and, as always, CoD, vying for the multiplayer FPS throne, the new Battlefield needs to be very good.
