I dont recall exactly when I became the massive fan of roguelikes and roguelites that I am today, but if I had to make an educated guess, it wouldve been when I stumbled upon the original Binding of Isaac in my freshman year of college. The idea of a game that effectively resets every time you die was naturally intimidating at first, and I almost ragequit the whole thing more than a few times.
