We all know the story. A game is announced, it goes through its press release cycle, the release date grows ever closer, and then the reviews drop. A game that a number of people wanted to see as the best thing since sliced bread has numbers attached to it that aren't favorable. From there, there's a divide between white knights and people who just want to think everything's over right away. Things are never that simple, though.
