The peak of the strategy game genre may have come and gone with the late '90s and early 2000s, but thanks to a continued variety of games, the genre is still very much alive. Titan RTS titles such as StarCraft 2 and Age of Empires still stand strong today, but remain fast-paced. On the other hand, more recent strategy games such as Against the Storm borrow the Roguelite formula, putting a heavier emphasis on grinding.
