JRPGs truly began to find their footing on the SNES, a time when various developers started launching their own foundational series. With this explosion of titles, we ended up with several games that, for one reason or another, were far more challenging than necessary. Perhaps it was an issue with enemy level scaling, a complete lack of explanation of core mechanics, incessant backtracking, or mandatory grinding.
