It looks as though the first official AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme handheld to hit the market could be the MSI Claw A8, based on a new listing in China that suggests the handheld will ship before the end of July 2025. As part of this same listing, a price is given, which translates to around $970, meaning the Claw A8 could be set to launch for a similar price to the Intel-powered 8 AI+ model.On paper, the new MSI Claw A8 is set to be one of the best gaming handhelds in terms of power, sporting the new AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme chips alongside 24GB of LPDDR5x 8,000MT/s RAM and a 1TB SSD.
