On President Donald Trump's Inauguration Day, Gov. Ron DeSantis made Florida the first state to reference the "Gulf of America" in an executive order when he issued a state of emergency due to cold weather.
Executive Order EO 25-13 reads, "Whereas an area of low pressure moving across the Gulf of America, interacting with Arctic air, will bring widespread impactful weather to North Florida beginning Tuesday."
