Perhaps one day, well look back at Mindseye and remember it with a strange affection, a flawed, curious sandbox shooter that felt - albeit inadvertently - plucked from a bygone era. The hype, the bugs, the hubris of it all. Maybe, in time, well forget about all the large and small annoyances. Like Aliens Colonial Marines, Assassins Creed Unity, and the launch week of Cyberpunk 2077, we will think only of how Mindseye, in its bizarre own way, briefly unified and humored the entire gaming world.
