One of the finest uses of Game Workshop's sprawling sci-fi universe to date is Warhammer 40k: Space Marine. Created during an era where third-person action games like Gears of War, Uncharted, and Dead Space were massively popular, Relic Entertainment departed from its usual focus on making RTS classics like Homeworld, Company of Heroes, and Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War to create a shooter starring a squad of Ultramarines.
