All of my most-anticipated games of the past year have, unfortunately, let me down. South of Midnight, while a masterclass in storytelling, struggled to nail its action-focused combat, and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 was neither the sequel I wanted nor a good action RPG. When I look to the future, Fable certainly has potential, but its radio silence is pretty concerning, and Phantom Blade Zero still doesn't have an official release date.
