They returned to the backyard for a missing kitten after rescuing a cat family. As it turned out, the little guy had a heart of gold. They received much-needed medical attention and enjoyed more food than they had ever known.But the rescue wasn't over. Volunteers returned to the backyard to search for any remaining kittens. Two days later, they found him. They were shy at first, huddled in a corner, but soon they started to learn to trustLittleWanderersNYCOnce the kitten, Bucky, was secured, volunteers noticed a wound on his neck that would require extra care. "We can't imagine what he's been through alone out there, separated from his mom and siblings, struggling to survive on the streets," Little Wanderers NYC shared.Finally safe indoors, Bucky relaxed into his warm blankets and even switched on his tiny purr engine. Volunteers returned to the backyard and found one more kittenLittleWanderersNYCBucky didn't mind being in his carrier and was a perfect gentleman at the vet, as if he knew he was in good hands.With proper treatment and plenty of TLC, he healed beautifully and took to indoor life with enthusiasm. Once he realized he would never again go hungry or face the dangers of the outdoors, his big, vibrant personality began to shine.
