The Sega Genesis will always have a very special place in my heart, remaining my favorite console for a few decades until the Nintendo Switch surpassed it (portability and my development of an impractically huge physical collection finally won out). Nintendo did what Sega didnt in this case, I suppose, but that takes nothing away from the fantastic library of games the Genesis built up over its lifespan.
