Im a bit of a fair-weather fan when it comes to the Musou genre, also known as Warriors games. Im not really that huge on the actual Dynasty Warriors series, but I like the general gameplay formula, and very much enjoy it when it gets merged with another existing IP, such as the Hyrule Warriors games or Persona 5 Strikers. The success of Hyrule Warriors in particular makes me believe that we can do more than apply the Warriors formula to popular anime IPs; pretty much any existing game franchise can make it work with a little creativity.
