Once upon a time, the FPS landscape knew no hegemon. The attention of sugar-powered teenagers was split between games like Halo, Quake, Call of Duty, and of course, Battlefield. If you miss those days, you'll be sorely disappointed, but not in the way you think. Unless Activision pulls off a miracle, rather than experiencing a paradigm shift, we have simply replaced the man in the throne.
