Windrose is the latest survival-crafting game from the humble new indie studio Kraken Express and has quickly become many gamers' new obsession. The game sees players embark on their very own pirate journey with friends, sailing ships across the high seas, discovering new biomes that harbor a tough boss and unique resources to help you discover your next location.

Noir fiction works best for me when it's played straight: hardboiled, down-on-their-luck detective, trying earnestly to carve out a corner of the world where they can drink themselves into oblivion. I'm a simple man with simple tastes. A noir detective story where the protagonist (and the majority of the world, for that matter) are mice? I don't know about that.

Jack Buser, Google Cloud's Global Director for Games, claims that AI will allow game creators to not only develop more titles in a shorter span of time, but makes it easier for them to take risks, knowing that even if a release doesn't hit with gamers, they have more opportunities to find a title that does.
