WWW.THECOUNTRYCOOK.NETBaked Ham and Cheese CroissantsBaked Ham and Cheese Croissants are made with flaky, buttery croissants that are stuffed with ham and cheese and topped with a sweet glaze and baked until golden brown!A 20 MINUTE HOT SANDWICH RECIPEThese croissant sandwiches were actually inspired by my Glazed Ham and Cheese Sliders. The glaze is really where all the action is ha! I dont know about yall but croissants arent just a breakfast or lunch thing for me, I can eat them anytime of day so these baked croissants could be a quick dinner as well! Serve with some chips or a salad and dinner is served!FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:How should I serve these Baked Ham and Cheese Croissants? I like to serve them warm with a side of fruit or salad for a simple meal that feels a little extra special. Theyre really great with a side of Italian Grinder Chicken Salad or Grape Chicken Salad too. Or as. I said above, it can be something as simple as potato chips! What else can I use in place of croissants? I suppose you could swap the croissants for other bread choices like dinner rolls. Thicker options would hold up over time better, especially with the glaze, but you can try other options. What other meat options can I try? These ham and cheese sandwiches are delicious, but I know theyd be just as delicious with turkey or chicken. You could even step out of the box a bit and use pepperoni instead of ham. Can I dip these croissant sandwiches in something? I love to warm up some raspberry preserves and dip these baked sandwiches in that. Its SOOOO good think Monte Cristo sandwich! How long are Baked Ham and Cheese Croissants good for? If you store these in an airtight container and keep them in the fridge, theyll last up to 3 days. You can keep these wrapped tightly in the freezer for up to a month. Whats the best way to reheat these croissant sandwiches? I prefer to reheat them in the oven at 350F until theyre warm and crispy again. You could also reheat in the microwave or air fryer (until warm and the cheese is melted.) INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (SEE RECIPE CARD BELOW FOR THE FULL RECIPE)unsalted butter You can use salted butter. Theres just not enough salt in the butter to make that much of a difference here really.honey you could use agave or even maple syrup.brown sugar I just use light brown sugar here. Dijon mustard I suppose you could use yellow mustard but yellow mustard is much more tangy than Dijon so keep that in mind.salt and peppercroissants halvedham slices just use your favorite deli ham I used honey ham.Swiss cheese slices dont like Swiss? Use cheddar, American, provolone, or really any cheese you enjoy eating with ham.poppy seeds this is totally optional so dont go out and buy them just for this. Its more for looks than it is taste.
