One of the things that made me fall in love with horror games was their ability to build up to one massive twist as the story reaches its crescendo.It's when every piece of the narrative puzzle finally clicks into place, and suddenly, everything you've experienced just makes sense.

I've already accepted that I'll leave this world without playing a good chunk of the whole JRPG library. That's why when a friend tells me they revisit one game or another every year, I get confused. I don't get why you'd dedicate 50-plus hours to a JRPG you already know instead of discovering new ones.

Save for No Mans Sky many moons ago, I cant remember being more crushed and underwhelmed by a games launch than Battlefield 2042. A buggy, rushed FPS game that reworked or stripped out some core, defining Battlefield features, it was extremely disappointing when it first dropped. However, these days, its a different story. I know its reputation is hard to look past, but over the last three and a half years, developer Dice has invested a lot of energy into improving the game.
