Better late than never I suppose. And its a great pie for anytime! Even if you arent from the South, you have probably heard of a Kentucky Derby Pie, and for good reason. They are SO delicious! Theyre basically just a gooey chocolate chip cookie with nuts added and baked in a flaky crust. It really is a super simple homemade pie that I make year round not just Derby Day. Scrape down the bowl and paddle. Scrape down the bowl, mix on low for an additional 10 seconds.
