Halloween just got sweeter. This fall, Butterfinger is rolling out its new Marshmallow Butterfinger, a seasonal spin on the candy-aisle classic. The new bar features its signature peanut-buttery crunch but with a creamy marshmallow-inspired coating, delivering a flavor that's both nostalgic and new.

The idea also comes from a gap in the market: Ferrero North America, the maker of Butterfinger, found that marshmallow remains an underused flavor in chocolate candy, even though it resonates strongly with consumers. In taste tests, more than 80% of people said the marshmallow felt like a refreshing change of pace.

“Marshmallow brings back childhood memories of baking homemade treats for trick-or-treaters and costume parties,” said Kalyn Flournoy, senior brand manager for Butterfinger. “That familiar flavor pairs beautifully with our peanut buttery center, creating a nostalgic combination that transports you back to simpler times—just in time for Halloween.”

A Glamorous Launch with Heidi Klum

To spotlight the debut, Butterfinger is once again teaming up with Heidi Klum, famously crowned the “Queen of Halloween” because of her impressively intricate costumes. The model and TV personality's annual Halloween party, now in its 24th year, has become a pop culture event, making it an ideal stage for the candy’s reveal.

Partygoers will not only get to try Marshmallow Butterfinger firsthand but will also sip on themed creations like the Butterfinger-tini, a cocktail featuring chocolate, butterscotch, and peanut butter whisky.
