Save $40 on this gorgeous Razer keyboard, the BlackWidow V4 75%, if you're quick

We've just spotted a great gaming keyboard deal on Amazon right now, where you can save 20% on the usual price of our favorite 75% board, the Razer BlackWidow V4 75%. This luxury keyboard is usually priced at $199.99, but right now you can pick up the Phantom Green model for just $159.99, and you can customize it too.

Indeed, the ability to easily hot-swap the keyswitches for your own choice of five-pin models was a big factor when we awarded this keyboard a score of 9/10 in our Razer BlackWidow V4 75% review, along with the quiet action and premium build quality. It's had a place in our guide to buying the best gaming keyboard ever since, with Razer nailing the 75% formula.

That means it only has 75% of the keys you would usually find on a full-size keyboard, so it takes up less room on your desk, but it still offers many of the essentials that aren't always found on the smallest mini keyboard designs. There's no numpad, of course, but you still get the full row of Esc and F keys, as well as arrow keys, and the Del, PgUp, PgDn, and Ins keys in a column on the right. You also get a handy media control roller, which is great for quickly adjusting the volume, and a pair of dedicated media controls.

It's all mounted in a classy, sound-dampened aluminum chassis, and it comes equipped with Razer's own Orange (tactile) mechanical switches out of the box. However, as I mentioned earlier, you can swap out these switches for your own choice at a later date if you like, perhaps if you prefer a clickier switch, or a more linear keystroke. Meanwhile, we found that the supplied doubleshot ABS keycaps also made for a comfortable typing experience, but again, they use the standard Cherry stem, so you can swap them out for your own choice if you don't get on with them.

Another neat touch is the plush leatherette wrist rest, which attaches magnetically to the bottom of the board for easy removal. You're basically looking at many of the benefits of a custom keyboard here, but for a much more affordable price. It might not be cheap at its $199 MSRP, but at $159.99 it's a great buy, even if you don't choose to customize it yourself.

If you want to take advantage of this deal, you just need to click on this link here to take you to Amazon in the US, or on this link here if you're in the UK, where you can pick up the same keyboard for £154.05, saving you a similar 19%. You'll need to be quick, though, as the US offer is listed as a limited-time deal.
