AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT prices crash in UK, as Nvidia RTX 5070 Super rumors swirl
If you've been holding out for an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT price drop before going in for the kill, then now is the time to pounce if you're in the UK, as the prices are finally dropping down to a much more reasonable level. We're not quite down to the mythical MSRP yet, but we're not far away at all, with prices in the UK now down to £578.99, just £9 higher than the £569.99 MSRP.
Sadly, buyers in the US are still stuck with prices of at least $699.99 for this GPU right now, but AMD is going to have to take action if the rumors about the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Super Ti specs are correct, as well as the RTX 5070 Super specs, for that matter. Both GPUs look as though they're going to be equipped with more than 16GB of VRAM, and together they could give the Radeon RX 9070 XT a serious run for its money if they're priced reasonably.
If you head to Overclockers in the UK right now, you can pick up a PowerColor Radeon RX 9070 XT Reaper card for £578.99, a drop of £71 from its previous £649.99. It's not the only one either - several 9070 XT cards are now reduced at the retailer, including this XFX Swift model, which is now going for £589.99.
Meanwhile, the cheapest price we could find for a 9070 XT card in the US is the same PowerColor Reaper card on Amazon, which is currently going for $699.99. That's still a good $100 higher than the MSRP, and at that price, I'd instead recommend spending an extra $50 on the RTX 5070 Ti, which is available for MSRP now, and is generally the quicker GPU, especially if you enable advanced features such as path tracing.
