US Congress Is Holding Another UFO Hearing Today – Watch Live
Over the last few years, there have been several hearings in Congress regarding Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP), the more apt term by which UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects) are known. There have been no dramatic shows of evidence about UAPs in these previous hearings, but maybe today is the day that everything changes.

Back in January, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform started the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, which today is holding a hearing titled "Restoring Public Trust Through UAP Transparency and Whistleblower Protection". The hearing begins at 10 am ET (2 pm UTC) on Tuesday, September 9, and you can watch it below. “The federal government has been hiding information from Americans for decades. We have spent years seeking information on the assassinations of President Kennedy, Senator Kennedy, Reverend King, and other government secrets without success. It is time to give Americans the answers they deserve, which is why I am honored to lead this bipartisan task force that seeks truth and transparency,” Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), who is leading the hearing, said in a statement. “We will also investigate UAPs/USOs, the Epstein client list, COVID-19 origins, and the 9/11 files. We will work alongside President Trump and his cabinet members to deliver truth to the American people. From this moment forward, we will restore trust through transparency.” Representative Luna was already involved in a previous hearing when the then-Chair Nancy Mace said, "Rep. [Anna Paulina] Luna just told me, if I say 'Immaculate Constellation' I'll be on some list, maybe a FISA warrant.” The Immaculate Constellation is an alleged secret UFO program run by the Pentagon. It is difficult not to see the goal of the task force as bolstering conspiracy theories. Beyond the UFO/UAP-specific ones, when it comes to COVID-19's origins, the scientific consensus is strongly on the animal origin theory, and it is the Trump administration that has instead gone all-in on the lab leak hypothesis. In the case of the Epstein files, it’s the Trump administration that has blocked the release, which has been suggested to be due to the reported links between President Trump and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. When it comes to UAPs as evidence of extraterrestrial technology, back in March 2024, there was the publication of a landmark Pentagon report. It concluded that there is “no evidence” that any government investigation, academic research, or official review has ever “confirmed that any sighting of a UAP represented extraterrestrial technology." The report also denied that the US government was involved in any form of cover-up of alien encounters. The federal government has documented 510 UAP sightings since 2004, with 339 having been proven to be from known sources. The remaining 171 are classified “uncharacterized and unattributed”, but the lack of evidence doesn’t prove that there are alien vessels flying across our skies.
