How long is Hollow Knight Silksong? Team Cherry's long-awaited sequel is finally here, and there's a lot to discover. With over 40 bosses to beat and countless secrets to unearth, progression in Silksong can be different for everyone.

Taking a closer look at the size of the Silksong map, most players will get lost occasionally, making it difficult to determine exactly how long the journey in the Metroidvania game will last. As a result, your final completion time depends on how good you are at the game and how much time you spend combing through every path. We can make an educated estimate of how long Hollow Knight Silksong takes to beat, though.

Based on the claims made in the release trailer about the number of bosses in Silksong, we believe it's similar in length to the first game. Our Hollow Knight expert, Nat Smith, took 40 hours to beat the game at launch in 2017, so Silksong should take roughly the same amount of time.

Judging by the amount of time it took the average player to 100% complete the first game, if you want to find every secret and beat every optional boss in Hollow Knight Silksong, you're most likely looking at sinking around 100 hours.
