Raise your paintbrushes like a baton and waft it to a gentle lilt, because Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is going on tour. No, not like a lads tour to Vegas with gambling and debauchery, a far more civilized affair. Much like the artists who inspired the game's art direction, the j'RPG will more likely be seen at an opera house than a casino. Yes, in honor of the game's spectacular soundtrack, developer Sandfall Interactive has announced that it will be taking it on the road. There's just one problem: the tour is only in France… for now.

I get it. Clair Obscur Expedition 33 was made in France. It's inspired by French artists and composers. It's probably the most French game ever made—yes, I'm including Assassin's Creed Unity and Asterix and the Magic Carpet—so it's only fair that French fans get to experience this live event first.

That's not to say I'm not a little salty, though. Since the release of the hit RPG's soundtrack, it's been a staple of my work rotation. To see it performed by a live orchestra would tug at the heartstrings and feel more powerful than any Spotify playlist. However, I'm not sure I can make it to France just for a concert, no matter how important.

The concert is a collaboration with Bleu Citron Tournées, a production company that has worked with the likes of the Worakls Orchestra on European tours before.

The announcement doesn't give any dates or more specific locations (although Paris is a certainty, right?), but Sandfall does give us some hints. It says the concerts are coming "soon," and there is "the potential to explore international dates in 2026." This not only suggests that patient players may see the live event before too long, but that the French dates will occur this year.

If you're excited about this announcement, just imagine how debut composer Lorien Testard feels. He was asked to join the studio when game director Guillaume Broche found his music on Soundcloud, and now his music will be played in concert halls across France, and potentially the world.

Get your notifications turned on for the Sandfall Interactive Instagram account if you want to grab tickets, because they'll sell out faster than Oasis' return to Manchester (and will probably be a better gig, too).

If all this excitement makes you want to jump back into the game (or give it a whirl for the first time), be sure to brush up on the best Clair Obscur Expedition 33 weapons to give yourself the best chance in combat. Our list of the best Clair Obscur Expedition 33 pictos is also worth revising.
