Before Borderlands 4, get Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and its DLC at a huge discount

I've been a fan of Borderlands for as long as I can remember, powering through Pandora back when the first game released in 2009. While I enjoyed Borderlands 2 for its chaotic gameplay and hilarious narrative, I didn't think anything was going to quite capture that same special feeling I got from the original. Then Tiny Tina's Wonderlands came along and I realised I could love again. Sadly, despite it being one of the greatest in the series, it's a sorely underrated game and one not nearly enough people have played. So with Borderlands 4 on the horizon, now would be a good time to play, especially when you can get it at a huge discount from Humble Bundle.

If, like me, you love looter shooters, the Borderlands series may be some of the best FPS games you'll ever experience, but I must be brutally honest and say the long-running franchise has had quite a few missteps. Borderlands 3's story was a huge drop in quality compared to the first two games, and the Pre-Sequel was a fun diversion, but it didn't add much. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, however, remains a high point, partly thanks to the fact that it's a huge departure from the usual vault hunting shenanigans.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands takes the fittingly titled, in-universe TTRPG, Bunkers & Badasses (which draws heavily from Dungeons and Dragons) and makes it the center of the entire game. Where once you were throwing bizarre and powerful grenades, now you cast enemy-shattering spells, though there are still plenty of guns to find too - it's what would happen if the best fantasy games, had a baby with Borderlands.

However, even with the change of scenery and replacing the sci-fi world with a more fantastical one, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands still includes all the chaotic fun that you'd expect from a Borderlands game. Back in 2022, Phil Iwaniuk said that it's "Still recognisably Borderlands, but the sense of place and improvisation elevates Tiny Tina's Wonderlands beyond expectations" in his 8/10 Tiny Tina's Wonderlands review.
