Fallout 76 has only gone from strength to strength over the years. What was once the butt of many, many jokes in the gaming space has flourished into a thriving RPG deserving of the series' moniker. In 2025 alone, Fallout 76 has been inundated with huge updates, bringing new features while overhauling existing ones. Now, it's building's turn to get some well-overdue TLC, and Bethesda has some fervently-requested improvements on the way that'll take your mojo dojo casa house to the next level.

Fallout 76 has been making some big money moves as of late. March's Ghoul update brought the irradiated to Appalachia for the first time, doubling one of the best RPG's player count for a short while. More recently, and more importantly if you're a seasoned angling aficionado like yours truly, June's Gone Fission update brought fishing to the fore, theming the entire season around landing mutated whoppers. At the time, creative director Jon Rush and lead producer Bill LaCoste told us Bethesda had a "fantastic" building update in the works; they weren't overselling it.

Fallout 76 C.A.M.P. Revamp is flat-packed full of "long-requested" features that aim to increase building freedom while making the system's UI more parsable. Kicking off, there's been a relaxing of item snapping restrictions, which also means walls can be built beneath the floor, and you no longer need a staircase to attach upper floors to walls. Though some items still require ground placement, others can now safely ignore gravity altogether.

Of course, having the means to get creative is pointless if it's stifled by an inability to actually find what you're after. With this in mind, Bethesda has revamped 76's Workshop menu, placing a focus on "findability and organization." Now, if you need to pump up your defenses, you'll find those swanky new barricades, traps, and turrets in the Defense tab. Or, if you want to fill up your new home with all sorts of trinkets, the Decorations section has you covered.

Once you've finished crafting your dream condo, you'll be able to enter it into one of the C.A.M.P. Competitions that are being hosted in-game for the remainder of 2025. Bethesda hasn't revealed the prizes for these, but that smug sense of self-worth from one-upping your neighbors is a mighty reward in itself.
