Hollow Knight Silksong season is finally here, and it's not long now before you'll get to take bug-based shaw-ty Hornet on a whirlwind adventure through the kingdom of Pharloom. While Silksong is a day-one Game Pass addition, there are a couple of good reasons to pick it up on Steam instead. Firstly, Hollow Knight Silksong is only $20, which is a steal in today's market if you want to own the game outright. You'll also presumably have access to the same expansive library of unofficial mods the original game received. And, as we all know, mods make the world, let alone the best PC games, go round.

The countdown to Silksong's release time is agonizing at this point. I get it, not even the long therapy sessions after crashing out of the Path of Pain are stopping me from furiously willing time forward. The Silkreaper is coming for us all, not just the litany of upcoming PC games that have thrown their launch windows out of its wake as Team Cherry's juggernaut stampedes on through.
