Hollow Knight Silksong has been at fever pitch for what feels like an eternity now. For years we've been scrounging tidbits from the darkest corners of the internet, collectively losing our minds every time the slightest whiff of news wafted our way. At Gamescom, Jamie gave it a PCGN-style Christening, which, thankfully, didn't involve throwing holy water over the Xbox Ally X he was playing on. The fervor has been so extreme that one speedrunner even set two world records for the showcase's demo. What is expected to immediately land on our best indie games list has had a black hole-like influence on the industry, hoovering up player hype while simultaneously warping release dates for other games well out of the way. The Silkreaper takes no prisoners.

Ken recently reported on a Gamestop leak that proposed Silksong will set you back an incredibly modest $20 (at least, in the era of $80 behemoths). Now, Team Cherry has not only confirmed this will be the case, but has dropped the deets on when Silksong will finally be unleashed.
