You can do practically anything in Minecraft. From making buildings that resemble famous landmarks, to crossing the entirety of the procedurally generated map, players are determined to test the game to its absolute limits. However, there are some things you simply cannot change, and that's where developer Mojang steps in. The latest Minecraft snapshot, 25w35a, makes important changes to how Copper Golems work and adds Halychian language support. No, me neither.

For those of you who don't know, Minecraft snapshots are kind of similar to Minecraft seeds. Whereas a seed will place you in a specific, predetermined environment, a snapshot is like a test server, where Mojang tries out new things before they hit the main game. As experimental as they are temperamental, snapshots are an opportunity for hardcore players to provide feedback to Mojang before the updates hit the main game.

In the latest snapshot for the hit survival game, Mojang has added support for the Halychian language. A little research shows that Halychian is a niche Ukrainian dialect spoken in the country's Halychian region. The confusion arises from the fact that the people who speak it call it Galician, which is also the name for a Spanish dialect. Now it's supported in Minecraft. Pretty cool.

However, the main hook here is Copper Golems. Mojang has fixed the mob so they work more efficiently. First off, their hitboxes are now 0.98 blocks in height, so they can pathfind in one block high spaces. Secondly, Mojang has fixed issues with the Copper Chests created from spawning a Copper Golem and tweaked the equipment slots they can use.

In addition to these gameplay and linguistic additions, there's a lot of server tests, too. Several server properties have been removed and made into game rules so that they can be changed while a game is running. A server management API for dedicated servers has arrived, too. Mojang has also issued fixes for nearly 50 bugs, which you can see in the full patch notes here.

If you don't fancy trying out the experimental snapshot server, why not add some of the best Minecraft mods to your game? Alternatively, Minecraft commands and cheats can take it to the next level.

You can also join our community Discord server. There aren't any Golems, but there is nice chat with readers and staff.
