You can officially build a gaming PC with a Lego PC case, and this Redditor has proved it by building not one, but three. This intrepid PC builder has managed to fit an AMD Ryzen gaming PC into the standalone case, but they've also put together two old-school CRT-style monitor enclosures, both with space for touchscreen displays and mini-ITX gaming PCs.

Lego is a pretty versatile building material, and we've seen it pop up from time to time in a number of PC build creations, including this awesome Lego Fortnite gaming PC. I've used it on a small scale for several Raspberry Pi cases, but I have to admit that I'd be intrigued to design a bigger case like these myself. The only concern would be the thermals, because if I wanted specs to match the rigs in our best gaming PC guide, it's probably going to get toasty inside.

Lego Commodre 64-style PC case

Reddit user OkDebate6649 shared their creations in a series of posts on Reddit. The first is a Commodore 64-inspired gaming PC in this Reddit post, which uses a CRT-style design to incorporate a portable 2K monitor. According to the Redditor, there's space for a mini-ITX motherboard and graphics card inside.

They've also built a second retro-style monitor case with Lego, showcasing it alongside the Commodore-style machine in this post here. This new build uses a lighter, white shade of brick compared to the yellow-style Commodore case, incorporating the same 2K touchscreen LCD display as the first design.

The main PC build, however, is inside this all-white case to complement the CRT-style screen, posted here, with the Commodore-themed build's screen acting as a second monitor. The Redditor is light on detail about the specs, but does mention that it features an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, a six-core Zen 3 CPU with a clock speed of 3.5GHz. There's no dedicated graphics card, with the Redditor instead relying on the integrated Radeon Vega 7 GPU included with the processor.

The build seemingly features a full-size ATX power supply, along with several case fans to keep the PC running cool. The attention to detail is impressive, and I especially like the case's downward gradients, going from the center towards the bottom, with the Lego bricks giving it some very clean lines. The build even includes a custom stand with a keyboard, although the monitor is shown with this removed in some shots.

This Redditor has proven just what you can build with Lego if you're a gamer looking for a stand-out PC build. It's inspired me to get out my old Lego bricks and see what I can create, although it might take me a few attempts to get my designs to this standard.
