Nine years after launch, Escape From Tarkov finally sets 1.0 release date

Escape From Tarkov was first made available all the way back in 2017. Since then, it's become perhaps the most recognizable example of the extraction shooter, a high tension style of FPS that also includes games like Hunt: Showdown, Delta Force and Marauders. Tarkov has also been a public work in progress for nearly a decade now, which means you can explore a large part of the game while it's still being made, even if your enjoyment has always been somewhat hampered by the knowledge that its creator, Battlestate, doesn't consider the project 'finished' yet. That's about to change with Tarkov's 1.0 launch, which we've just learned is arriving very soon.

Last we heard, the Escape From Tarkov 1.0 and Steam release date were likely to arrive this month. While we don't have concrete info on when the FPS game will come to Valve's platform yet, Battlestate has just put out a trailer that reveals when Escape From Tarkov's full version is set to arrive.

Rather than announce the 1.0 launch date with gameplay clips and a splashy outro screen, Battlestate's trailer shows Tarkov designer Nikita Buyanov writing code on a computer monitor in between live action footage of soldiers. Just before the video ends, the launch date is revealed in a line of the programming.

And, just in case that wasn't confirmation enough, Buyanov took to X/Twitter to post, simply: "15.11.2025, 1.0 release, Let's gooooooo!"
